The Carbon Trust is the UK’s leading authority on carbon reduction, helping business deal with the challenges and opportunities on the road to a low carbon economy. The Carbon Trust has devised a carbon label that reveals the carbon footprint of products and services used. The Carbon Trust measures the emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gases in a product’s manufacture, distribution, use and disposal. This is referred to as the product’s carbon footprint. These labels can thus help us make informed choices so we can reduce our own carbon footprints.
