The Nature-map is a website showing on a map of Iceland which places in Iceland are either endangered or have already been exploited for hydroelectric or geothermal usage.

The areas are devided into three categories according to how far the process has come along. The three catagories are; unspoiled, spoiled and fully harnessed or destroyed.

The Nature-map website offers theral information on nature and photos from some of Icelands best photographers. Without the unselfish work of scientists, photographers and artists the web would not have come about.

Framtíðarlandið (The Icelandic Future Group) organizes the production of the Nature-map. The map will constantly be updated.
