Christmas helps us through winter and reminds us that life awakens again in spring. The snow, the symbol of winter - the coldest time of year - is in fact the well of life, because without water there would not be any life on earth. The snow and winter interconnect in our minds.
Even in hot countries the snow is associated with winter so that people make fake snow to feel the spirit of Christmas.
