One of Nature's most important tasks is to introduce local entrepreneurs and producers and make their products available for everyone here at the Nature-market. Choosing local art, design, innovations, services and products does not only support the backbone of the Icelandic society but can also be much more environmentally friendly than picking imports. The reason mainly being that transportation releases much CO2 into the atmosphere, not the least when a product has to travel from one end of the globe to the other to find the consumer. Here at the Icelandic Shop you'll find local products where health and the environment has been taken into consideration, at the design level, during the production process or they might have eco- or organic labels.
