Integrated agriculture is basically an intermediate way between traditional and organic agriculture. It is founded on a different and less demanding regulation than the one organic agriculture is based.

Other terms for integrated agricultur are ‘half-way-houses’, ‘conservation grade’, ‘alternative’ in Britain and elsewhere, ‘low input sustainable agriculture’ or ‘LISA‘ and ‘integrated pest management’ or ‘IPM’ in the USA and elsewhere but ‘Alternativ‘ or ‘Natur-‘ in Germany. In other Nodic countries the term ‘lys grøn’, is used (as opposed to ‘grøn’ for organic agriculture) as well as ‘miljøvenlig’, ‘alternativ’ and ‘integreret landbrug’.
