Local Food

You´ll find information about food grown locally here on the  Green Map.

The description for this icon is as follows: 
Food is grown locally (without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers, and no chemicals or waxes) and processed locally. If processed it is either sold locally or domestically. Organic produce, prepared food, dairy & meat is becoming more popular and easier to get all the time. Includes fair trade practices in their definition of ecological foods as the farmer or producer gets higher ratio of revenues from sales through this practice.
