Herbal tea and extracts
In autumn you’ll find herbs for tea or extracts well past the ordinary flowering season. Heather blooms late and other scrubs, birch and willow bark, can be used too. Also wa for mountain avens and blueberry bushes. It’s good to grow peppermint in the garden because it grows slowly. The three Cs, calendula, camomile and comfrey (that’s trimmed in summer) are a wonderful threesome that can cure most ailments. It is sufficient to pour boiling water over leaves and flowers but stems and seeds need to be boiled.
